The summer program is the main pipeline to our full-time class for the following year. The expected annual base salary is $110,000, pro-rated for the length of the summer internship. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education as well as market factors.Country:United StatesJob Requirements:

Hours:40Job Details:The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group consists of TD Securities' global debt advisory, underwriting, derivative solutions, syndication, private placement, securitization, and liability management businesses. DCM advises clients across the corporate, financial institutions (FIG), and sovereigns, supranationals, and agencies (SSA) sectors on optimizing their capital structures by raising funds in the global debt capital markets, acquisition financing, managing existing liabilities, and hedging interest rate and currency risk. DCM works alongside TD's corporate banking, investment banking, and sales & trading teams to deliver best in class advice for our clients. DCM functions as a hybrid between investment banking and sales and trading, providing the opportunity to develop the technical and presentation skills required for investment banking while working in a position that is closely connected to the global markets.WHAT TO EXPECTTraining & Orientation:The internship will begin with a one week of formal training in New York City for all summer analysts that includes orientation and interactive technical training. This training is designed to teach you the building blocks of financial institutions, Excel, and PowerPoint, which will prepare you for the next nine weeks of the internship.Mentorship and Networking:Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage with bankers at all levels across all teams, designed to familiarize participants with the workings of Debt Capital Markets. Mentorship is foundational to the DCM internship, and each Summer Analyst will be paired with both a Junior and Senior Mentor who will act as resources throughout the summer. Summer Analysts will also be able to participate in social networking events with one-another as well as colleagues across all divisions on an on-going basis to experience our culture and assimilate into our Firm.Key roles and responsibilities of a DCM Summer Analyst include:

Creating pitch books, market updates, global pricings, and other client materials

Assisting in live deals including origination, structuring and syndication of bond offerings, liability management exercises, and derivatives transactions

Monitoring the global markets (USD, CAD, AUD, EUR, GBP, etc.) to identify trends and develop insights used in client communications

Developing relationships with DCM professionals and more broadly across TD Securities

Each Summer Analyst is paired with a junior and senior mentor within the DCM group to guide you through the summer
