Vice President - Investment Banking - Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging (REGAL)New York, United States of AmericaThe Santander REGAL Group is responsible for the global investment banking coverage for companies and financial sponsors across a wide range of sub-sectors including:

Real Estate: Residential, retail, office, triple-net, RE services, home building, and data centers.

Gaming: Land-based casinos, online and sports betting, equipment suppliers, and lottery.

Lodging: Hotels, timeshare, cruise lines, travel services, and tour operators.

Santander REGAL has a M&A focused business model which drives a well balanced product mix - ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance, Private Placements, and Corporate Banking.Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

Lead transaction execution including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the REGAL sector.

Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence.

Perform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews.

Create pitch books and ideas to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives.

Train analysts and associates.

Lead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution.

Build relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the REGAL industry globally. Prospect new clients and develop client outreach skills.

Requires up to 50% domestic, international travel.

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.

Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred).

Work Experience:

Experience in REGAL Investment Banking (6+ years with Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with MBA).

Skills and Abilities:

Prior work experience in an Investment Banking front office role, ideally in REGAL Investment Banking.

Experience in training junior bankers.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work).

Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions.

Ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility.

Ability to interact with clients.

Ability to assess and mitigate reputational, operational and credit risk.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Experience with sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes and equity and debt capital raises.
