Established cocktail bar in Midtown is seeking an ambitious head chef, eager to grow into an executive position.
We are looking for a Chef who can be proactive in operating the kitchen operations from top to bottom. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can take hold of the identity of the food program, coming to the operators with ideas, presenting mostly finished ideas and dishes. Not only must they be able to conceptualize a food menu and develop recipes but they must be able to solve quality control problems with minimal intervention from operators.
The ideal candidate does not necessarily need expedience as a head chef but should be well trained and equally important, self organizing.

Menu development
Quality Control
Service optimization
Managing kitchen operations
Inventory Management
Product costing
Staff Scheduling and Training
Liaison (Working with FoH management to ensure operations run smoothly.)
