Role Overview:
As the Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager, you will assist in overseeing the front and back of house activities to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. You'll also assist in booking and organizing private events and off-premise catering. From managing staff to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, you will be instrumental in upholding our restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
-Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures and cash handling
-Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold our standards of excellence
-Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
-Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally-
-Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen facilities
-Implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability while controlling costs and minimizing waste
-Assist in booking and organizing private events (i.e. showers, communions, graduations, etc.), as well as off-premise catering orders
-Foster a positive working environment by providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a restaurant role preferred
-Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively multitask
-Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
