The Soho Diner is looking for a Part-Time Barista. The Barista is a critical member of the Soho Diner team providing an exceptional guest experience. This is a fast-paced environment and candidates must be able to maintain a positive, upbeat vibe while performing job specific duties.
Requirements:
Candidates must be friendly, reliable, and must have open availability. Candidates must be well versed in performing monetary transactions such as giving and receiving change with previous experience operating a POS terminal.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o A passion for coffee.
o Previous customer service/café experience.
o Possession of local food safety certification preferred.
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
o Ability to manage diner operations independently, if required, in a fast-paced environment.
o Ability to manage resources to ensure that established service levels are achieved at all times.
o Ability to follow direction and work with all levels of management.
o Ability to build relationships with customers in a team based environment.
o Available to work flexible hours including: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
o Ability to work in a fast paced, and, at times, noisy café environment.
o Ability to stand for long periods of time and actively move around the café.
o Ability to manage and balance cash.
o Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
