The Coffee Lab is a fast-growing specialty coffee shop located in the heart of Astoria, known for our warm atmosphere, quality-driven drinks, and friendly neighborhood vibe. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Barista to join our team and help us continue creating the welcoming experience our community loves.
What We’re Looking For
At least 1 year of barista or specialty coffee experience (preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person!)
Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and basic latte art
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Comfort using POS systems — Clover experience is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A team player with a friendly, positive attitude
Detail-oriented, clean, and organized
Reliable, punctual, and excited to grow with us
Availability
Early mornings, weekends, and some holidays
Part-time or full-time options available
Physical Requirements
Able to stand for extended periods
Able to lift up to 30 lbs
Bonus Points
Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Genuine love for coffee, hospitality, and building community
