Based in Greenpoint, Sereneco is an all-day New American Restaurant in a light-filled, welcoming space. Our nourishing, seasonal-inspired menu is designed to bring out the very essence of every ingredient, while our space focuses on life’s simple pleasures—natural finishes, abundant space and light and harmonious design. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team as BARTENDERS! Weekend and brunch availability are required, available for 3 shifts per week.
Position Summary
Bartender serves guests with beverages, food and experience that they desire. Being knowledgeable about all that is served and maintaining warm and friendly communication with guests at all times are musts.
This position requires heavy customer contact and excellent service skills. Positive attitude is required at all times in order to ensure the return of our customers who are the reason for our business.
Additional Responsibilities
Works as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
Works with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times
Mixes, garnishes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
Inputs drink and food orders into POS. Maintains and closes customer checks
Works cleanly and in an organized fashion, maintains a clean and sanitary work space
Washes and sterilizes stemware
Responsibly serves alcohol and remains aware of guests’ state of intoxication
Preps garnishes, syrups and juice as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiar with standard drink recipes
Excellent communication skills
High School Diploma or GED graduate preferred
State alcohol server license and food handler’s card may be required
Ability to suggestively sell food and beverage items
Ability to learn and use company POS systems
Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
