Moondog HiFi is an intimate listening bar that celebrates music, elevated street food, and exceptional drinks. Our cozy space features a world-class sound system, curated vinyl sets, and a menu by Chef Einat Admony, blending Mexican and Mediterranean flavors.

Bartender
Assistant Manager
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to guests and ensure a memorable experience
- Stay knowledgeable about our menu, cocktails, and music programming
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Keep the bar and work areas clean, organized, and stocked
- Work closely with the team to maintain a positive and welcoming environment
Requirements (Bartender/Barback):
- 2+ years of bartending experience in NYC
- Strong knowledge of classic and craft cocktails
- Some serving experience is a plus (you may occasionally cover tables)
- High-volume experience (especially with outdoor summer events)
- NYC Food Handler's Certificate is a big plus
- Willingness to cross-train as a barback and jump in where needed
Assistant Manager Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations and ensure smooth service across all areas
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment
- Coordinate private events and buyouts, working closely with guests and promoters
- Manage event logistics and be familiar with booking and ticketing platforms (e.g. Resy, BeatGig, Eventbrite, EventActive, etc.)
- Work with ownership to uphold service standards and ensure guest satisfaction
- Oversee and maintain backend systems (Toast POS) for menus, reports, and tracking
- Keep organized and accurate records for inventory, invoices, and compliance
- Ensure the venue stays compliant with DOH, FDNY, and SLA requirements
- Help manage inspections, licenses, and safety standards as needed
- Step behind the bar or onto the floor when needed — we’re a hands-on team!
Requirements (Assistant Manager):
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a bar or restaurant setting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with Toast POS backend (menu updates, reporting, staff management)
- Solid understanding of DOH, FDNY, and SLA compliance requirements
- High energy, proactive, and able to troubleshoot on the fly
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Knowledge and love of craft cocktails, food, and music/ vinyl culture a big plus
- Flexible availability, including weekends and late nights
