ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Beverage Manager at Torch & Crown will help oversee all aspects of the bar program under the supervision of the General Manager, Directors, and company ownership. You will help guide quality control, cocktail development, inventory, COG's, DOH standards, service standards, etc.

There is a large floor management element to this position also. You will help oversee service on a day-to-day basis, with designated admin time during the week to focus solely on Beverage.

We have a generally simple and very beer-forward bar program. This is a great opportunity for a talented head bartender to step up, or a floor manager to break into a new area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

-Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality that supports our business objectives and growth.

-Spearhead the bar program by developing standards in: service, cleanliness, sidework, cocktails, etc.

-Performing weekly beverage inventory and maintaining extremely tight records.

-Work the service floor daily in the restaurant & bar, while leading staff performance and ensuring guest satisfaction.

-Maintain excellence and cleanliness of all restaurant spaces.

-Foster positive working relationships with both managers and hourly staff throughout service periods, ensuring effective

and timely communication.

-Educate service staff on all aspects of food, beverage, & beer production through daily preshift meetings and tastings.

-Work with beverage management to conduct, reconcile and submit month end beverage inventory (not required for all

managers.)

-Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies, holding employees accountable to all standards

and practices, evaluating and/or following disciplinary procedure when necessary.

-Ensure Health Department compliance for all front of house spaces.

-Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for

growth and development.

-Work both opening and closing shifts as needed.

-Consistently look for internal and external candidates to build our growing team.

Qualifications:

-An innate love of hospitality

-1+ years of head bartender, beverage manager, or floor manager experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment of

restaurants, hotels, bars, or breweries.

-Experience with & understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)

-Knowledge of Toast POS and ERP Systems such as R365 or Craftable is a plus

-Knowledge of hospitality systems and processes and an ability to find the simplest solution to complex problems

-Excellent written and oral communication skills

-Strong analytical and organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail

-A passion for craft beer (preferred)

What we’re offering:

Annual compensation range of $70,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
