Looking for a chef with at least two years experience as a head chef or 5 years as a sous. Room to grow for the right candidate in the kitchen of our cozy 50 seat gastropub! Must have a NYC DOHMH food handler's card, in depth knowledge of kitchen sanitation practices, labeling, temps, DOHMH protocol, FIFO obsessed, detests food waste, understands labor control, etc. Must have open availability including, mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. We want your creative input as well as your ability to uphold the integrity of the existing vision. Seasonality, gastropub classics, and an obsession with quality control are a must. We are looking for a long term person who wants to make a home here, and grow with us. Eligible for paid vacation after six months of consistent employment and a performance bonus after one year of consistent employment meeting labor and food cost goals.
