Well-established bar in Prospect Heights is seeking a cocktail server & barback.
This is a full time hybrid role - you’ll be serving two days a week and barbacking two days a week.
Prospective candidate should be experienced in providing discerning customer service and have a knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Barback duties include supporting the bartenders by getting ice, helping to restock, taking out garbage and we also have a small food prep area at the end of the bar with a sandwich press. Food preparation is part of the workservers and bartenders take care of it when the barback is not on shift so it isn't very complicated but on a busy night, it can be a large part of the job. We are able to train up if you do not have food experience but if you do, that's a bonus! We've thrived in the community for a decade because we value quality and customer service over pretentiousness and apathy. Also, we're fun!
