GERBER GROUP is seeking an Events Manager to join our team! The pay is salary plus commission on events.

Responsibilities…
Develop and manage all timelines, budgets, communication, and overall project management for events ranging from small in-house activities of 10 people to large-scale productions for groups of 400+.
Execute events from concept to completion including creative conceptualization, strategy, management, and oversight of every detail of the event management life cycle.
Clearly communicate event scope, schedules, deliverable dates and project status
Participate in project meetings and brainstorming sessions and facilitate as needed
Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client’s needs are heard, understood, and addressed in a timely manner and clearly articulated to the internal team
Interface with outside professionals hired for assigned projects including event companies, caterers, production companies, venue management teams, etc.
Work with the MGMT team on day to day operations
Negotiate contracts and evaluate options with a variety of vendors and arrange for all related event services- floral, A/V, F&B, signage, entertainment, etc.
Monitor event platforms regularly to ensure event selections are up-to-date and accurate
Work closely with Accounting to reconcile billing following each event
Develop and monitor event budgets to ensure revenue and expenses are kept within established boundaries
Cross promote Gerber Group venues
Develop a working knowledge of the technology and tools used in the department, take ownership of and have a thorough understanding of- Sevenrooms, Venuebook, Avero

Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and negotiation
Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Exceptional English communication skills, written and spoken. Spanish a plus!
Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
