Chicky’s General Store is a busy community shop in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. We make & bake everything fresh in house. We are currently searching for someone who is passionate and experienced to take on a unique hybrid position as barista/front counter server and food prep to join our team. This role requires front of house and back of house skills. This person will need to provide customer service, execute beverages, & help ensure operation is running smoothly when working FOH, and also work on the line making sandwiches and assisting with prep work when working BOH shifts. We are willing to train and work with you in all areas.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- strong knowledge on coffee
- food prep experience, sandwich station
- excellent customer service & communication skills
- experience with POS systems & delivery systems
- open availability, at least one weekend day is required
- ability to work in a team setting
- ability to adapt, learn and work under pressure
- ability to maintain a hygienic work environment & cleaning routinely while following safety & security measures
-$20 per hour plus tips
