Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Caribbean Cook to join our team in downtown Brooklyn. The ideal candidate has experience cooking authentic Caribbean dishes, is highly organized, and can independently manage kitchen operations with a positive and professional attitude.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Caribbean dishes with authentic flavor and presentation.
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and food safety.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
Lift and move kitchen supplies and ingredients weighing 40+ pounds.
Work independently while maintaining a pleasant and cooperative demeanor.
Qualifications:
Proven experience cooking Caribbean cuisine (minimum 2 years preferred).
Strong understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (40+ pounds).
