Position Overview: We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive individuals to join our hospitality team as Food Runners. The Food Runner at FlyFish Club is responsible for assisting with the smooth flow of service by delivering food from the kitchen to the dining room in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate tables in a prompt and courteous manner.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food orders.
Verify the accuracy of food items against the order ticket and communicate any discrepancies to the kitchen or server.
Assist with table setup and breakdown, including ensuring that all necessary condiments and utensils are available.
Provide friendly and professional service to guests, answering questions about menu items and accommodating special requests.
Monitor dining room activity and communicate with servers and management to anticipate and address guest needs.
Clear empty plates and used utensils from tables, maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.
Collaborate with servers and bartenders to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction.
Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of food waste.
Assist with other duties as needed to support the operations of the restaurant and social club.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Food Runner or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or private club setting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency to ensure timely and accurate service.
Physical stamina and dexterity to carry trays and navigate crowded dining areas.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is a plus.
