As we transition into our evening jazz bar format, we're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Bartender to lead the charge in creating a memorable beverage experience for our guests.
Position Overview:
As the Head Bartender at Bad Therapy, you will play a pivotal role in setting up our bar, designing an innovative drink menu, and building a talented team of bartenders. Your expertise will ensure a smooth and stylish transition from our daytime coffee service to an exciting evening jazz atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar Setup and Management: Oversee the establishment and organization of the bar area, ensuring it is fully stocked, clean, and prepared for efficient service.
Menu Development: Craft a sophisticated and engaging drink menu that complements our jazz bar ambiance, featuring both classic cocktails and inventive new creations.
Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a new team of bartenders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to guests, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Engage with patrons to ensure their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
Inventory Control: Manage inventory, order supplies as necessary, and monitor usage to minimize waste and control costs.
Quality Control: Ensure all drinks are prepared to the highest standards and maintain quality control measures.
Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service and sanitation standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the coffee shop team and management to ensure seamless operations between daytime coffee service and evening bar service.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of bartending experience, with a proven track record in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of bartenders.
Creativity: Strong mixology skills with a passion for creating unique and memorable drink experiences.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle challenges with professionalism.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., bartending license) preferred.
