A Japanese neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn is looking for organize, tidy and confident individual who has a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality. Employees with great attitudes and competitive work ethic will have the opportunity to grow in our expanding company.
- Minimum (5) years of NYC restaurant experience in an upscale and casual setting, Japanese cuisine knowledge is a plus
- Ability to handle face-paced setting and high volume environment
- Must have the ability to prioritize and handle the pressure most especially during the busiest hours
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and has the ability to follow directions and execute the task with sense of urgency
- Has great engaging personality, team player, multi-tasker; not afraid to get those hands dirty and be part of service
- Has strong communication skills towards the guests and co-workers, respectful and accountable
- Ability to follow through a task and create or improve systems in place; can accomplish a project on a timely manner
- Great observer, organized, team player and detail-oriented
- Proficient on identifying regulars and VIPs
- Has the ability to handle cash, credit cards and a cash register
- Able to process payroll, analyze profit and loss, create sales goal, control labor cost and assist on menu development
- Create weekly schedule with email reminders regarding service standards, announcements, menu item education
- Put together events and collaborate with brands and social media
