Line Cook – Upscale Dining Restaurant (Herald Square, NYC)
Full-Time | Pay $20–24/hr (based on experience)
Gaia Restaurant, a modern Mediterranean dining destination in the heart of Herald Square, is seeking a passionate and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.
We pride ourselves on high-quality ingredients, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. As a Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in delivering the culinary excellence that defines Gaia.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Gaia’s recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
Ensure food is prepped, cooked, and presented on time and with precision
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Assist with inventory, prep lists, and kitchen closing procedures
Qualifications:
2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume or upscale restaurant
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and culinary techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
