About the Role
Mama Mia 44SW is seeking a warm, polished, and highly organized Full-Time Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. We are looking for someone with a professional presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment in the heart of the Theater District.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests with genuine warmth and hospitality upon arrival
Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-ins through OpenTable
Coordinate seating assignments to maximize guest flow and table efficiency
Communicate courteously with servers, managers, and kitchen staff
Assist with phone inquiries, takeout orders, and guest requests
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand
Provide accurate wait times and ensure guests are updated throughout their visit
Handle high-volume pre-theater rush with poise and professionalism
Support overall FOH operations as needed
Required Qualifications
Full-time availability, including evenings, double shifts, weekends, and holidays
Previous host or hospitality experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask
Professional, polished appearance and excellent communication
Positive team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to remain calm during high-volume periods
