Frühling is looking for a talented chef or pastry chef to join our team as the Head Chef/Production Lead for our operation. Starting part - time, with the intention to grow with us.

Frühling makes packaged artisanal snacksinspired treats made from the highest quality ingredients.

Are you a passionate chef or pastry chef with a keen eye for detail? Are you highly efficient with a strong sense of integrity/personal responsibility, and a knack for establishing efficient processes? Do you possess an active NYS food handler's license? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Chef / Production Lead, to build and lead our production team. This role requires packaging and sealing dried ingredients with a high attention to detail, as well as caramelizing select ingredients.

We pack out of a kitchen in the LES 1-2 days per week and are looking for a leader who can help us grow the operation.

An interest in plant based/health foods, and/or a background in fine dining or fine pastry is an added bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Excellence: Execute the careful and precise packaging of our artisanal snacks, ensuring each product meets our high-quality standards.

Quality Assurance: Maintain a meticulous approach to quality control, ensuring that each package reflects the excellence and craftsmanship of our brand.

Adherence to Regulations: Utilize your active NYS food handler's license to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, guaranteeing the well-being of our customers.

Fast and Efficient: Can produce products quickly and efficiently without compromising attention to detail, and seeks opportunities to make processes more efficient.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a smooth and efficient production process.

Leadership - Help us build and lead a team.

Requirements:

Pastry Background: While a fine dining/pastry background is preferred, candidates with a strong passion for pastry and artisanal or healthy food will also be considered. Candidates should be skilled with caramelization and presentation.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that each package reflects the quality and precision expected by our customers.

Integrity: We are looking for someone to grow with the team, who we can count on, possessing a strong sense of integrity and trustworthiness.

Sense of Responsibility: Take ownership of the packaging process, showing a strong sense of personal responsibility for the quality and efficiency of your work.

NYS Food Handler's License: Possess an active NYS food handler's license, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety.

Strong Interpersonal and Leadership skills - We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the production side of our business. Our intention is to find a leader who can build out and run a team as our company grows.
