Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Porter to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. In addition to porter duties, this role will occasionally assist as a busser during service to support smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, kitchen, and storage spaces.
- Take out trash, recycling, and compost as needed, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness of waste areas.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils as needed.
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors regularly to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Restock supplies such as napkins, cutlery, and cleaning products throughout the shift.
- Assist servers and bussers during busy periods by clearing tables, resetting them, and ensuring prompt cleanup.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs, and report larger maintenance needs to management.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of inventory.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a porter, dishwasher, or busser is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in a restaurant setting.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to work shifts across both locations as needed, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $17-19/hour, based on experience.
