Job Title: Kitchen Receiver

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing food, beverage, and kitchen supplies delivered to the restaurant. This role ensures all deliveries are accurate, meet quality standards, and are safely stored for use by kitchen staff.

#### Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving Deliveries:
- Check all incoming deliveries against orders and invoices for accuracy, quality, and quantity.
- Inspect perishable goods for freshness and adherence to quality standards.
- Verify packaging integrity and ensure items are free of damage.
2. Storage and Organization:
- Store goods in appropriate areas (refrigerators, freezers, dry storage) according to company standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain an organized inventory system to ensure easy access and minimize waste.
- Label all items with proper dates and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation is followed.
3. Inventory Management:
- Assist in regular stock takes and inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Track stock levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the kitchen manager or purchasing department.
- Ensure all products are stored according to health and safety standards.
4. Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, chefs, and purchasing teams to ensure proper stock levels and timely delivery of ingredients.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding any delivery issues or discrepancies.
5. Sanitation and Safety:
- Follow food safety protocols and health regulations when handling and storing goods.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area to prevent contamination and accidents.
6. Other Duties:
- Assist with other kitchen-related tasks as needed, including unloading heavy items or helping to prep for kitchen operations.
- Ensure all paperwork related to deliveries is completed accurately and submitted to the kitchen manager or accounting department.

#### Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen, receiving, or inventory management role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations and proper storage procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, lift, and move items up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Fast-paced kitchen environment with potential exposure to hot surfaces, sharp equipment, and busy conditions.
- May require early morning or late evening shifts depending on delivery times.
