We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter/Receiver to join our team. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our restaurant and bar, ensuring that all deliveries are received, stocked, and organized while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in our storage and prep areas. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store all food, beverage, and supply deliveries.
- Ensure accuracy of deliveries by checking invoices against received goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized storage, cooler, and dry goods area.
- Assist with inventory management, including rotating stock and minimizing waste.
- Dispose of trash, recycling, and empty kegs in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support kitchen and bar teams by restocking ingredients, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Perform light maintenance duties and ensure the cleanliness of back-of-house areas.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a porter, receiving, or stockroom role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Knowledge of food safety and storage guidelines is a plus.
