Ardesia Wine Bar, a beloved Hell’s Kitchen institution celebrating 16 years of award-winning service and hospitality, is seeking a runner to join our team.
Candidates must be willing to learn all dishes and cheeses on the menu and be prepared to explain and announce the food as it is placed down with the guest. The runner is also responsible for supporting the service team by providing water to tables, clearing and resetting tables, polishing glassware, supporting the bartender (getting ice, fruit, etc.) and other duties as needed. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in and take initiative. Every member of the service team is expected and encouraged to interact with guests and provide a welcoming environment. Students with flexible schedules are also encouraged to apply. Open shifts are Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings - with opportunity for additional pick-up.

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to learn the full details of our food menu including all cheeses & meats.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced (yet super fun and positive) environment
A friendly and engaging personality with the ability to be casual while maintaining professional procedures.
Minimum 1 year experience preferred
Availability to work Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings
About Ardesia:
We are a casual neighborhood wine bar seeking a candidate to join our tight knit team. Wine is the star of the show here with an international by-the-glass and bottle list (Awarded Best Small List (200 or less wines) by the Star Wine List, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence), but we also have a full service bar with spirits, cocktails and beer as well as an eclectic small plates menu. Now in our 15th year, we were voted Best Bar for the second year in a row by local publication W42ND ST. We aim to create an experience for our guests and welcome everyone who walks in the door like a regular whether it is their first or 100th visit. We do this by maintaining a strong internal culture of learning and an emphasis on providing warm hospitality to all of our guests.
