OASES New York is seeking a stellar Restaurant Manager to join our opening team!
OASES New York is dedicated to promoting well-being, with each dish and drink crafted using healthy, fresh ingredients. With three individual spaces on-site (restaurant/cafe/retail) - this is a unique opportunity for a hospitality professional experienced as a Manager and can work alongside the General Manager and the rest of the management team to promote the culture and mission of OASES.
The role of Manager is pivotal in ensuring the overall success of the restaurant by effectively managing operations, leading teams, maintaining high standards of service and quality, while driving profitability. This position requires a blend of leadership, business acumen, and a focus on the guests to deliver outstanding dining experiences and achieve business objectives.
Fine-dining experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis
- Ensure that all food & beverage are consistently prepared and served according to OASES recipes and serving standards
- Inventories of food, equipment, smallwares and liquor, and report shortages as necessary
- Purchase or requisition supplies & equipment needed to ensure quality & timely delivery of services
- Able to perform all POS functions, including opening & closing procedures, back office admin (employee creation, menu management, etc.)
- Promote & practice safe work habits through training & education of staff
- Perform various financial activities, such as cash handling, deposit preparation, etc.
- Prepare all required paperwork in an organized & timely manner
- Achieve objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility & sanitation & cleanliness through training of employees & creating a positive, productive working environment
- Manage staff in daily responsibilities providing clear, effective direction
- Ensure that all staff are compliant with OASES policies & procedures, as well as city, state, and federal laws
- Able to work nights, weekends & holidays, and variable schedule as per the needs of the business
