While We Were Young is seeking forward thinking Sous Chef for our established contemporary American restaurant.Very small space as we only seat 25 people. All positions in place just looking for someone to lead a team. This is a position for someone who has a true passion for cooking/creating and wants to constantly elevate their craft. You must be knowledgeable with current food trends as well as traditional methods of cooking and not be afraid to try something new. We currently serve dinner Tue-Sunday and Brunch Saturday and Sunday.
Looking for candidates who have a minimum of 3-5 plus years in similar position or an established line cook that feels like they are ready to take the leap to Sous.
Must Have current DOH food handlers license and understand health codes.

Culinary degree is preferred, but not required.
Bilingual in English & Spanish a Plus
We believe in work/life balance and don't believe in “kitchen Culture” mentality. This is a 40hr(sometimes more, but not often)/week position. Looking for someone who wants to grow within the company and open up more locations and concepts.
