The Mandarin is a new cafe in Chinatown Two Bridges.
We will be serving coffee and pastries in our beautifully designed space.
The cafe will seat approx. 30-40 people.
In this vibrant neighbourhood, we are hoping to become the staple!
At The Mandarin, we are looking for fun, creative baristas that will play a key role in preparing and serving coffees, while offering friendly customer service.
If you are passionate about coffee, design, and enjoy working in an intimate environment, then this is the spot!
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Create a vibe with us / greet patrons in a friendly way, take orders, and process transactions accurately
- Daily maintenance duties on the coffee station and machines.
- Prepare and display the baked goods
- Execute the coffee beverages with excellence and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the space
- Stock daily product deliveries in rotation
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualification Requirements:
- NYC Food Handler's Certificate - Required/Must.
- Min 1 year of experience making coffee based drinks
- Exceptional knowledge of coffee preparation techniques including some basic latte art.
- Warm and engaging with customers with service and clear communication skills
- A positive attitude and a respectful work ethic.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay with tip sharing
- Room for growth in the creative field as the owner is a Photo Producer
