ISB seeks a dedicated and mission-driven Facilities Associate (Temporary-Immediate hire)
from November 2024 to July 2025. This is an ideal position for someone who is excited about working in a school and has some experience in facilities, operations, or maintenance in an educational setting. Reporting to the
Facilities Manager, the Facilities Associate will help keep the success of our students and staff
as a focus by helping to maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, offices, furnishings, and equipment as
well as school entrances and exterior walkways. Perform general maintenance and repair
tasks in a variety of areas and as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Operations
Manager in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations
Monitor inventory of supplies and facilities equipment and work with the Facilities
Team to reorder supplies as needed.
Help improvement and seasonal maintenance during school breaks
Restock necessary supplies in bathrooms and common areas.
Work with the Facilities team to plan setup and breakdown for special events
Provide coverage for the front desk and security when necessary
Assemble classroom furniture. Accept and coordinate deliveries
Perform assignments relating to ensuring the school can safely open and function
when assigned. This includes working cooperatively with other school staff
during emergency operations and drills
Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Facilities Manager. Be
willing and able to be on call for emergencies 24/7 as needed
Assist in tasks such as planting and caring for perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs,
and turf. Assist in the preparation of soil and seed beds, weeding, mulching, and
assisting in repairing damaged planted areas, fertilizing, and watering plants
Demands of the Job:
While performing the duties of this job, the Facilities Associate must regularly lift and/or move
up to 50 pounds, complete physical work for short periods during inclement weather, stand
for extended periods of time, and travel up and down stairs. Carry heavy equipment and
objects on level surfaces, ladders, and/or stairways. The Facilities Associate must also have
the flexibility to work occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. The schedule is subject to change by the direct
supervisor.
