The Law Office of Jamal Jbara Attorney at Law, P.C. is a law firm located in Long Island City,
NY, 11101 focusing on a variety of aspects of immigration law practices. We are a top-rated and rapidly expanding law firm and are interested in a candidate who is dedicated, reliable, and looking to grow within the practice. Our firm currently has an opening for a paralegal or legal assistant who has extensive experience with removal defense cases, such as asylum, cancellation of removal, motions, and requests for prosecutorial discretion.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Draft immigration forms and prepare evidence submission packages.
Communicating with clients, completing USCIS applications including Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, and P.D., processing various immigration applications, and filings with the immigration court, Assisting clients and attorneys with the collection of key evidentiary documents in support of the case, etc.
Provide clients with case status updates.

Qualifications:
Proficient in Spanish and English
Must have a minimum of 2 years prior experience working in an immigration law firm

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Friday is a half day) 1 Saturday per month (half day) (if you work on Saturday, you will have the option to take Friday off.

We provide a ½ hour of paid lunch and paid time-off, including holidays, sick leave, and weeks/days of vacation in the first full year and increase with each year.
All candidates must have proof of being able to legally work in the United States. Acceptable forms of proof include unexpired work authorizations, lawful permanent residency card, or proof of US citizenship.
