- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting legal research and gathering pertinent information for case files.
- Respond to client inquiries and contribute to consultations with both potential and existing clients
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including affidavits, petitions, and correspondence.
- Draft and manage family-based, asylum, and removal defense visa cases
- Preparing for and attending client meetings, hearings, and interviews and assisting clients with translations as needed.
- Assist attorneys with case intake, strategy development, and preparation of immigration applications and petitions
- Communicate with clients about procedural updates and case processing, manage case statuses using case management systems
- Monitor client profiles for changes and business opportunities
- Update client database with any changes in contact information
- Collaborate effectively within a team, communicating case progress and issues with attorneys, legal assistants, and the Business Development Department
- Participate in exciting projects with our Legal Tech team on AI product development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
- 1 year of experience in an office/corporate environment
- Legal experience preferred, not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse personalities within the firm
