FOTOFOTO, a mission-driven film camera startup based in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, is looking for a Manufacturing and Assembly Assistant. Our company emphasizes sustainability, and our first product, the FF-1 "un-disposable" camera, is crafted from upcycled materials and is fully recycled after each use. About the Role:
You’ll contribute to our manufacturing process by assembling camera components, performing precise cutting, preparing products for shipping, and handling packing and fulfillment tasks. We’re looking for individuals who are not only extremely detail-oriented but also quick and efficient with repetitive, hands-on work. Strong dexterity, comfort with delicate assembly, and careful attention to fine details are essential. Training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assembling camera components with utmost accuracy
- Carefully finishing, packing, and labeling products
- Preparing orders for shipment, ensuring items are shipped safely and on time
Requirements:
- Highly detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy at a fast pace
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable with fine motor skills and repetitive tasks
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle delicate components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
