As a Receiver Clerk/Inventory Control Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain management by overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments. You will ensure that products are accurately documented, properly stored, and ready for distribution. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help maintain our high standards of efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive Shipments: Unload and verify incoming goods and materials against purchase orders and shipping documents.
Documentation: Accurately record the quantities, conditions, and any discrepancies of received items in the inventory management system.
Inventory Management: Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and organized in the designated areas to facilitate easy retrieval and minimize stock loss.
Communication: Collaborate with warehouse staff, procurement teams, and other departments to address and resolve any receiving-related concerns or discrepancies.
Compliance: Adhere to safety and compliance regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
Reporting: Generate and maintain reports related to received goods, stock levels, and discrepancies for management review.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred; familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong mathematical skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to lift and move heavy items, as needed.
Proficient in basic computer applications and inventory management software, and ERP company operating system
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 50lbs
