This is a part time administrative assistant position in a holistic medical office.
Duties include but not limited to:
Scheduling patient appointments
Organizing files
Verifying insurance, benefits and eligibility
Billing insurance using a software program (if not familiar, we can teach)
Processing invoices
Data entry, verifying payments
Answering phones
Collecting payments
Keeping track of and purchasing office supplies
Assisting in preparation of monthly reports
Handling incoming mail and correspondence
Must demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize work
Computer knowledge is a must in Microsoft Word and Excel
This is an in-person position. Remote work is possible for a small portion of this time for the suitable candidate.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be organized; detail oriented; be able to perform and prioritize multiple projects; should have effective written and oral communication skills; excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and have the ability to use email and Internet. Prior experiences in the medical office environment is a plus. Familiarity with electronic medical record and billing system is a plus.
