ABOUT
Are you interested in beauty or color-cosmetics? Do you like working for small companies? We are a Brooklyn-based handmade cosmetic company and we are seeking a part-time Office Manager/Assistant. This position is vital in keeping our office operations running smoothly and assisting the owners in day-to-day activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Answer phone calls and business emails
Manage office calendar and file paperwork
Keep facilities clean and orderly
Purchase supplies and keep track of billing
Assist in QC / product testing
Interact with customers and fans through email and social media
Support new projects/business ventures through research and outreach
Support fulfillment operations during peak times
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High attention to detail - perfectionists need apply!
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
Independent, proactive and resourceful
Positive, reliable and ethical
Mac proficient
GSuite Proficient (Gmail Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
Working knowledge of HTML is a PLUS, but not required
Good working knowledge of social media - must be comfortable interacting with customers/followers on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Must be local and be able to travel to our office in Bushwick, Brooklyn
ENVIRONMENT
We are a small but growing company with a lot of opportunity for growth. We expect a team player that is willing to learn and wear many hats. Some weekend work is required and there will be times where the workload is high, especially during new product launches and around the holidays. This position starts at 20 hours per week and can turn into a full-time position.
