Internal Communications Specialist

Our client, a mental health service based in Financial District, Manhattan, is seeking to hire a Temp Internal Communications Specialist to support the firm . This position will start end of March 2024, hybrid schedule, Monday - Friday. Hours 9:00am-5:00pm. Temp duration is approximately three months with potential to extend or convert.Responsibilities:Write, coordinate, and edit engaging content for various internal communication channels, including email newslettersMonitor and track communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications.Support with routing, proofreading, producing, scheduling, and distributing internal communication projects that support the organization's priorities, shape employee engagement and strengthen our culture.Provide art direction and feedback to graphic designers to ensure communications meet branding guidelines.Compile statistics on communication efforts and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations.Develop communication strategies, plans, and calendars to support company projects and key engagement initiatives.Support cross-functional communication needs related to programs, equity and belonging, marketing and communication, development, and programs.Qualifications:1+ years administrative experience in a corporate setting handling internal communications and/or department communicationsBachelor's degree in communication, English, public relations, journalism, or a related fieldExperience operating email management programs (e.g., MailChimp)Knowledge of Asana and Canva a plus.Experience creating reports and tracking metricsAbility to adapt plans and strategies in light of new information and goalsExperience or interest in interacting with the public at events Experience tracking and reporting, and analyzing the reportsExperience or excitement about conceptualizing and creating public digital messaging campaigns and materials, with a focus on addressing sensitive, complex and timely subject matterHigh attention to detailCompensation/Benefits:$23 - $24/hour pay rateBeacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
