Our client, a Private Medical Practice is looking for a Patient Services Representative. This position is in office Monday through Friday. Hours are 8am to 4pm. This is a Direct Hire position.
The person in this position will be dealing with patients and will be expected to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
Efficiently managing multiple phone lines
Greeting patients in a welcoming manner
Maintaining sufficient office supply inventory
Coordinating scheduling of practitioner schedules to ensure efficient and proper coverage of patient appointments, presentations, and meetings
Processing and monitoring referrals/authorizations/prescriptions to ensure complete and final information is received in a timely manner
Preparing and sending physician correspondence
Entering patient demographics and insurance verifications as appropriate
Obtaining accurate insurance information, including eligibility and benefits verification, for new prescriptions and re-verify prior to delivery according to Company policy
Reviewing documentation received from medical doctors and therapists and scanning into database
Assisting with quality assurance to ensure patient satisfaction
Assuring proper follow up and communication is provided to patients, referral sources, and fellow employees
Assisting with billing department; insurance verification, authorization status, claim status, and service estimates
Performing other duties or special projects as assigned
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum of 1 years related experience in medical office
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Good data entry skills
Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
