Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented English/Spanish Payroll Clerk to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and proficiency in various accounting software. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with the HR department and assist our CEO in other administrative duties to maintain employee records and ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations.
Duties
Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing accounting software such as ADP and Google Drive
Maintain employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll.
Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure proper handling of payroll-related transactions.
Collaborate with our external accountant
Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports as required.
Filling receivables and payables
Prepare Masterbill invoices for our clients
Other duties related to Payroll and Administrative tasks will be assigned.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of payroll principles and NYS labor Dept concepts.
Proficiency in Google Drive, and ADP systems is a plus.
Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and regulations is preferred but not required.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and problem resolution.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Previous experience in payroll processing or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
