Owner/Manager is seeking a Handyman to join the staff of a 434-unit residential apartment complex. This is a non-union job that reports directly to the resident superintendent.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, plastering/painting, basic electrical, and basic plumbing.
Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with building operating procedures.
Assist in preparing vacant apartments for re-rental.
Annual apartment inspections
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
General custodial skills as evidenced by experience in property maintenance or janitorial work.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, plaster/painting.
Ability to learn and take directions from the building superintendent and/or management.
Ability to speak and understand basic English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
