Who We Are:

Liba Fabrics, established in 1962, is a NYC Based Fabric Importer/Wholesaler (see www.libafabrics.com for the complete line), Manufacturer of Custom Sewing Products (i.e. Drapes, Tablecloths, Truss Covers, etc.), and Print Products (Banners, Displays, SEG Graphics). We partner with a wide variety of industries in North America including Special Events, Production, Audio Visual, Lighting, Hospitality, Apparel, and more.

We are looking to expand our reach into the industrial fabrics market. This is a new division within our company, and we need an experienced, motivated individual to help us open up this market. The Director of Industrial Textiles will be responsible for researching potential applications for our products, finding new products and fabrics to add to our line, identifying key industries and customers, and building a strategic sales plan to grow this new division from the ground up. We are also open to acquiring existing businesses to accelerate this growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Entrepreneurial Market Development: Act as an entrepreneur-in-residence, driving growth and innovation in the industrial fabrics market.

2. New Product Identification: Research and identify new fabrics and applications that align with our capabilities.

3. Sales & Market Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to sell into new markets and sectors.

4. Customer Relationship Building: Leverage existing relationships and establish new connections with key industry players.

5. Collaborative Growth Strategy: Work closely with leadership to create and implement a roadmap for the new division.

6. Operational Execution: Oversee the operational aspects of order fulfillment, ensuring a seamless process for new clients.

What You'll Bring:

1. A proven ability to leverage existing relationships to gain entry into new markets.

2. Established relationships within the medical textiles or healthcare supply industry.

3. Problem-solving skills with a strong work ethic

4. Constant communication externally and internally

5. 5+ years of experience in the industrial fabrics industry

6. Experience working with a CRM (a strong plus), Microsoft, and Google Office Suite
