Assistant Project Manager NYC
NYC based Plumbing, Heating, Fire Sprinkler and HVAC Company is seeking detail orientated assistant project manager for an in-house role. Due to current events this role can also be performed remotely.
We expect you to be a team player and in this very fast paced environment, you must also be a self-starting multi-tasker. You and the installation team oversee all aspects of projects from start to finish for installation in all types of buildings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform take offs
Create and review project submittals from the estimate package
Create and review project change orders.
Ensuring project deadlines are met.
Determining project changes.
Providing administrative support as needed.
Undertaking project tasks as required.
Ensuring all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Facilitate project buy outs
Coordinate with filed staff, GC, Dept of Buildings and utility companies.
Track client payments
Compile and complete lien waivers
Negotiate contracts
Preparing AIA requisitions
Provide COIs
Track punch lists
Compile close out documents
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous work experience as an Assistant Project Manager is a plus
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Able to work to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
