About Us
Ronsco, Inc. is a leading drywall and acoustical contractor based in New York City, specializing in commercial, data center/mission critical, healthcare and hospital projects. With more than 65 years of experience, we are known for quality, precision, and reliability. We are seeking an Estimator to support our estimating and pre-construction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Perform detailed material takeoffs for drywall, framing, insulation, and related scopes
Prepare accurate cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing to ensure competitive bids
Track pricing trends, labor rates, and material costs to maintain up-to-date estimating data
Identify potential risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities
Assist in bid strategy discussions and scope reviews with management
Coordinate with project managers during handoff to ensure estimate accuracy and clarity
Support change order pricing and budget revisions as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in construction estimating (drywall/interior systems experience strongly preferred)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficiency in On Center estimating software (On Screen Take-off & Quick Bid) and Microsoft Office,
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Knowledge of NYC / Tri-State construction practices
