EXPERIENCED SHOP MILLWORK
Key responsibilities
Fabrication and assembly: Fabricate and assemble custom millwork, cabinetry, casework, and fixtures from start to finish.
Reading schematics: Interpret and work from complex shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
Tool and machinery operation: Proficiently and safely operate a variety of woodworking machinery, including table saws, panel saws, routers, and edge banders, as well as an array of hand and power tools.
Material handling: Work with diverse materials, including hardwoods, plywood, veneers, laminates, and solid surfaces.
Quality assurance: Perform meticulous quality checks on all components and finished products to ensure they meet exact specifications and company standards.
Safety and cleanliness: Adhere to all factory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Collaboration and communication: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production timelines and quality goals.
Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and solve fabrication and assembly issues as they arise during the production process.
Required skills and qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a factory or custom millwork shop environment.
Technical expertise: Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, methods of installation, and construction.
Detail-oriented: A keen eye for detail with a demonstrated aptitude for precision and fine craftsmanship.
Tool proficiency: Expertise in safely using a variety of woodworking tools and machinery.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Blueprint knowledge: The ability to read, interpret, and follow complex technical drawings and blueprints.
Work ethic: A reliable and hardworking individual with a positive attitude and a commitment to producing exceptional work.
