General Contractor for mid-rise apartment building renovations across New York City.
Prerequisites
2 years’ experience in construction field or related education/training
Strong written and verbal communication
Working knowledge of computer and smart phone applications
Familiarity with construction and business software, such as MS Project, Procore, Planswift, etc
New York City 40 hour Site Safety Training (SST) Card strongly preferred
The Junior Construction Superintendent will work closely with Project Manager and General Superintendent to oversee various aspects of assigned construction contracts in the field. This role is responsible for daily coordination and monitoring of logistics, safety, and subcontractor performance at the assigned project site.
The individual will participate in project team meetings, including owner/architect meetings, subcontractor meetings, and inspections. Key roles - Safety/Supervision, Communication/Reporting, and Site Organization/Logistics
Commitment
Full-time hourly position, 7 am – 3 pm; 8 am – 4 pm; or 9 am – 5 pm depending on site, Monday thru Friday
Overtime opportunities are available and expected

Requirements
Record of promptness, professionalism, and respect
Must have at least OSHA 30-hour training upon hire
Ability to walk up and down 6 flights of stairs multiple times per day
Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, ability to work in all weather
Familiarity with construction means and methods, hands-on/trade experience preferred
