KECH Development is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman / General Contractor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is versatile, detail-oriented, and has a strong background in general contracting and various trades.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform general maintenance, repairs, and installations, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
-Manage and execute renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
-Troubleshoot and repair structural, mechanical, and electrical issues in both residential and commercial settings.
-Communicate with clients to assess project needs and provide accurate cost estimates.
-Purchase materials and coordinate with suppliers as needed for each project.
-Maintain accurate records of completed work, time, and materials used.
-Adhere to building codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a handyman, general contractor, or in a related field.
-Proficiency in multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and drywall installation/repair.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-[State-specific] General Contractor License (preferred, but not required).
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational training or certification in relevant trades is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in general contracting or related handyman work.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
Comfortable with standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools for extended periods.
