Job Summary
The Web Developer/Tech Specialist will manage and optimize the performance, functionality, and security of the site. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers and the implementation of new features and integrations. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating user-friendly eCommerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Maintenance
Build, maintain, and enhance the website using WordPress and Elementor.
Implement website updates, new pages, and customizations to improve user experience.
Ensure the website is fully responsive and optimized across all devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
System Integrations
Integrate third-party tools and systems, including payment gateways, CRM platforms, inventory management, and marketing tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
Performance Optimization
Improve website speed, load times, and overall performance.
Conduct regular audits to identify and fix technical issues, broken links, and errors.
Security & Compliance
Implement and monitor security protocols to protect customer data and prevent vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
Technical Support
Provide technical support to the marketing and operations teams for website updates and campaigns.
Address customer-related website issues in collaboration with the customer service team.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website performance and user behavior.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve site functionality and user experience.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with the eCommerce Manager to implement new features and site enhancements.
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content creators to align the website with business goals.
Requirements
Experience: 2-4+ years in web development or technical support, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, and WooCommerce.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with API integrations and third-party tools.
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and payment gateways.
Understanding of website performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of security best practices.
Tools: Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar) and debugging tools.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Bonus Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems, SEO optimization, or experience in the appliance industry.
