Salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.TITLE: Associate Director, CIR Corporate BankingDUTIES: The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Associate Director, CIR Corporate Banking in Houston, TX utilizing advanced quantitative, technical and interpersonal skills to support senior bankers with client coverage, and collaborating with global product partners across Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Derivatives, Trade Finance, Transactional and Investment Banking to structure corporate loans and other banking transactions in accordance with governing regulations and internal policies/procedures. Actively involved in client relationship management, marketing and prospecting across a diversified portfolio of accounts within the Consumer, Industrial and Retail sectors. Leveraging advanced business and finance/accounting capabilities to develop high-quality financial models/reports, pitchbooks, research analysis and marketing materials. Reviewing/executing legal and credit documentation, preparing credit memos and navigating the internal credit adjudication process. Providing leadership, training and oversight of junior Analysts/Associates in the execution of live and prospective mandates as well as the mentoring of new/junior members within the firm.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Business Management or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: completing marketing materials for corporate borrowers; utilizing finance experience to negotiate terms and conditions in loan documentation; utilizing banking experience to interpret and apply bank-specific regulatory policies and procedures as it relates to underwriting of lending transactions; performing finance modelling including providing financial statement analysis and forward-looking financial statement modeling to assist in determining the financial viability and profitability of all lending transactions; utilizing credit risk analysis experience to quantitatively and qualitatively gauge the creditworthiness of borrowers and complete credit applications. 15% travel required nationally and internationally. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
