The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$96,700.00 - $159,600.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Join the team that collaborates across Travelers to inform business decisions, drive winning strategies and enable the business to capitalize on change. Enterprise Market Research (EMR) provides business and functional area partners with objective, credible and actionable insights; helping to profitably grow the business, build the brand and positively position Travelers within the marketplace.This role encompasses obtaining, analyzing and synthesizing information to identify and size market and industry opportunities, understanding competitors’ actions and monitoring a variety of trends and their potential impacts to the business. You will conduct research projects leveraging numerous sources and methodologies, working with complex and sometimes conflicting datasets and turning data / information into clear and actionable insights for business partners across the enterprise.Accountabilities include (1) engaging with internal business stakeholders to scope the research need and develop a research proposal that outlines the study objectives, (2) overseeing project execution, (3) analyzing / synthesizing relevant information, and (4) developing and delivering compelling, relevant and actionable insights.Through your work, you will enable key business partners to act upon the knowledge and insight generated by research efforts to make informed business decisions and deliver against critical business objectives.This position does not currently manage staff.What Will You Do?

General knowledge of secondary research methodologies to execute major departmental projects from end-to-end for multiple business stakeholders.

Sophisticated level of data collection and analysis; ability to collaborate with internal research teams to identify appropriate sources and methodologies.

Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with non-congruent timelines.

Use data from disparate and sometimes conflicting sources to tell stories that bring insights to life for our business partners.

Leverage colleagues, outside experts and internal SMEs to generate strategic and business relevant insights.

Ability to perform market, industry, financial and economic analyses including competitive intelligence.

Ensure work is comprehensive and answers business partners’ needs. Responsible for quality control on all projects.

Engage in proactive and strategic client engagement to build meaningful relationships.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Advanced ability to analyze data and summarize information from multiple sources, including large and complex data sets to perform market, industry, financial and economic analyses.

Intermediate ability to turn observations derived from data and analysis into actionable insights.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from the scoping phase through client delivery.

Provide subject matter expertise in one or more research sources, methodologies or tools.

Ability to manage relationships with clients, and with team members involved on a project, during the research process.

Advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.

What is a Must Have?

Minimum of 3 years of market research or related experience required.
