Overview The Restoration Monitoring Intern will monitor restoration projects with and without assistance from Parks staff. The position is based in DeVeaux Woods State Park; however, restoration projects to monitor are located throughout the Niagara Region. Interns typically work 10-20 hours per week during the semester and 20-40 hours per week during the summer. Duties Description Job Duties Review existing monitoring programs used in New York State and across the Great Lakes. Review restoration project goals and plans to determine monitoring needs and relevant monitoring programs. Conduct monitoring programs at various restoration projects to collect data on current project conditions and assess the effectiveness of each monitoring program. Attend meetings with Parks staff and other New York State agencies. A final report on work completed during the internship.
