Internal Posting Dates: October 3, 2024-October 8, 2024CHMC –Children’s MHU-Mental Health Worker– Full Time- Night Shift – 7p-7:30a- Requisition 7911Job Grade: 6 ($18.33-$23.47) A Mental Health Worker provides basic physiologic and psychosocial care, together with safety measures and environmental care, for mentally ill patients in an in-patient setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. May also be required to sit with a patient in a 1:1 situation if necessary. May be required to float to other departments as needed.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
BLS Certification and Crisis Intervention training within hospital orientation period.
Knowledge and understanding/ability to work with mentally ill patients.
Basic Computer knowledge.
Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information.
Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security.
Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities.
Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information.
Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
Acknowledging changes in a patient’s condition or behavior, and promptly reporting these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
Performing various intervention tasks assigned by the charge nurse.
