Position Title: Accounting Manager for Equipment Manufacturing (Fabrication and Assembly)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Assistance with Moving Expense)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 plus bonuses and benefits

Reports to: CEO

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with deep experience in manufacturing (fabrication and assembly) to lead and oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and managing a team of accounting professionals to support the company’s financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and month/year end close.

Prepare and present accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, variance reports and insightful analysis to management.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Coordinate and assist with external audits and tax filings.

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their professional development.

Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and financial decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing (fabrication and assembly), including 2+ years in cost accounting, 2+ years managing month-end close and 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and cost accounting for manufacturing.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and leadership skills.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in manufacturing as plus!
